This wonderful discovery, previously unknown and not listed in any discography or chronology, comes to us courtesy of our good friend, Chuck Slate and Jazzology's George Buck. This reunion with Jimmy McPartland, Johnny Mince, Ed Hubble and Dill Jones (with Bill Pemberton on bass) was recorded on December 5, 1969 at the Holiday Inn of Meriden, CT. This was likely done shortly after Gene came out of retirement, and the recording quality is very, very good.
