This long, out-of-print Savoy LP (issued briefly on CD in Japan in 2001 and then withdrawn) remains as one of the rarest and most difficult to find recordings in the jazz world. Loaded contains Stan Getz' first recordings of 1945, backed by the likes of Kai Winding, Shelly Manne and Shorty Rogers. The majority of the recording belongs to the one and only Vido Musso, a 1946 date with Winding, Boots Mussulli, Marty Napoleon, Denzil Best and others. Vido's solo recordings are few and far between, and this swing-to-bop session is priceless.
