Most JazzLegends.com visitors know about the four-part, BBC Radio tribute to Gene, broadcast in conjunction with what would have been GK's 100th birthday. But episode four ended around 1946, and it was clear that another program was needed in order to chronicle Gene's life and music from the late 1940s until his 1973 death. Hence, episode five. While the first four programs are easily accessible via the web, the fifth program has remained elusive and unavailable. We've got it, and you'll hear the voices of Ed Shaughnessy, Peter Criss, Gary Giddins, Dan Morgenstern, the one and only Bruce Klauber, and several others. You may not agree with some of the things that are said within, but this is essential listening.
