This long awaited, 50 minute video has been compiled in response to queries about availability of these two sessions on film. The first, shown only in part in some markets by CBS TV on June 27, 1973, is the complete unedited film of the original Benny Goodman Quartet's rehearsal for Carnegie Hall. Audio/visual quality is less than state-of-the-art, but this record of four legends at work is priceless. The 1971 session is the Canadian "In the Mood Broadcast," which we've offered on audio CD for some time. Yes there is a time code in the center of the screen (and believe us, this is probably the only form this will ever be released in!,) but fortunately, it's light in color and doesn't obscure the great music and stereo sound. These films are unedited, complete with spaces for commercials, stops, and starts, but are the ultimate in "raw" rarity and excitement.
